These were the lyrics that inspired us to use the name “Not Sorry.” The name fit perfectly with what we hoped the band would be; bare bones hardcore with lyrics that were honest and real. For us, this music is not a phase. Values like straight edge and animal rights have proven to be important beyond the realm of a hardcore show. People may look at us strangely for the things we are supposedly missing out on, yet the impact that this music has left on us assures us we are not wrong. Not Sorry is a reflection and expression of all this. It is carrying these values into our adult lives, when sometimes following our conscience means standing apart from the crowd. It is realizing that these words meant more than something to sing along to, they provide meaning and value.
