Remission is the creation of four friends where ideological and musical diversity flows. They are part of the hardcore scene in Santiago, Chile and have remained an active band since 2008. After a well received demo tape / 7″ came their debut LP entitled “Accept”. In 2009 this album went out fast to the globe and the band was often compared to Verbal Assault and 411 which are good references to describe the heavy guitar work that fuels the music. These songs were played out in local shows on a monthly basis and Remission felt the need to write new material which would represent them even more.
Their songs are always different from each other which comes from the wide range of styles they listen to and their experiences and emotions reflected in their lyrics. Their future React! release in 2010 called “Winds Of Promise” will be living proof of that. Three tracks bringing out the best of this Chilean group who look forward to continue inspiring and reminding that hardcore can be a combination of emotional and political views. Expect much more to come from these four.
